ST MARY'S BELLRINGERS

St Mary’s has a fine peal of five bells (after the five Elkington children). The tenor weighs 7cwt and they are in the key of B flat. They were restored in 2008 and are available for visiting bands.

CHILDREN’S CLUBS

There is a Sunday Club in St Mary’s for children aged 3-11 which runs concurrently with the main Sunday Worship. The Sunday School in Pwll meets at 10.30am each Sunday during term time.

ST MARY'S CHURCH CHOIR

The St Mary’s Choir sing for the 10.30am Parish Eucharist and the 18.00 Choral Evensong each week. We are RSCM affiliated and seek to do our best to lead the congregation in music and worship.

ST MARY'S DRAMA GROUP

The Drama Group stage at least two productions a year; usually a Passion Play on Good Friday in Church and a pantomime in the Memorial Hall at Christmas. Both are very well attended.

The Men’s Fellowship enjoy an interesting annual programme of educational and social events (including a bowls competition in the summer). They usually meet on a monthly basis.

Both Burry Port and Pwll have large and active branches of the Mothers’ Union who support the ministry of the church through upholding and promoting marriage and family life.

KNIT AND NATTER GROUP

The Knit and Natter group meet every second and fourth Tuesday in the Parker Cabin, St Marys from 1.00pm to 3.00pm for fellowship and to knit for charitable causes at home and abroad - a welcome for everybody - they will even teach you to knit!

PLAS Y MOR PRAYER GROUP

On the first Monday of each month at 6.00pm, the Plas y Mor (Sheltered Accommodation) Prayer Group meet for Holy Communion. It is an ecumenical act of worship and all are welcome to come along.
