BAPTISMS or CHRISTENINGS

We are always delighted to celebrate the baptism of infants, children and adults through which we are made members of Christ and his Church. We prefer to baptize in the Parish Eucharist that the whole of God’s family can welcome the newly baptized into the fellowship of the church. There is no charge for baptism – it is the free gift of God’s grace - please contact the vicar to arrange.

MARRIAGES or WEDDINGS

weddingAs the Parish Church, St Mary’s is licensed for weddings (as is Holy Trinity) and we are delighted to help you celebrate your big day. To be married in either church, the law requires that you are resident in the parish. Unlike baptism, there are statutory fees for marriage. It is advisable to book the church as soon as you have decided your wedding date.

FUNERALS

The Church has always been alongside communities and individuals at difficult times. It is part of our ministry. The clergy and funeral director will help as much as they can with a funeral. There is no provision for burials in St Mary’s (most burials take place in the town cemetery). There is a churchyard in Pwll but burials are now restricted to worshippers at Holy Trinity
